I have been feeling anxious and stuck and uncertain and I realize something…I just need to do. Do something and maybe meditate. Take action and do stuff instead of just listen to podcasts and read books. And meditate to still the nagging voice in my head that wants to know how this whole life thing is going to unfold.
Action can bring clarity. And action can quiet the voice. At least for a little while.
So today I made a terrible Live Video in my fitness accountability group (poor souls…I didn’t even warn them). And I posted something on Instagram- with hashtags and everything, something that makes me feel ridiculous but I know is a way to connect with more people.
Now I’m not going to crawl under the bed (even if I want to). I am going to write a blog post about what’s on my mind. I have been having writers’ block and feeling stuck in my head and paralyzed by analysis and indecision.
But those two actions- sure enough- got me moving. They were uncomfortable and poorly planned but they’re done. And here I am typing away.
So if you are feeling stuck or indecisive in some area of your life, go do something. Don’t overthink it, don’t over plan, just do it.
Taking some small action can propel you into more action. Even if it’s awkward action, it’s better than nothing.
I’m feeling all sorts of inspired right now when an hour ago I was staring blankly at my Chromebook and flipping hopelessly through my mostly-empty bullet journal for ideas.
It’s like the tires have gotten out of a mud puddle and this truck is moving on out…not very glamorous, but pretty accurate. I felt like there was sludge in my brain keeping my thoughts bogged down.
Now I have to go drive for an hour with my sister…God help her for what she’s about to endure. This fired-up chatty beast is ready to TALK about ALL THE THINGS…
What do you do to get the wheels spinning? Please tell me!

Fabulous post. To get unstuck I go for a brisk walk, breathing exercises or meditate. 💞
